IF: Hollow

there was a time when people believed that the earth was flat. however they were proved wrong. the earth is a sphere and it consists of 3 layers. the inner most layer is apparently very hard. ha ha ha. people believe any crap if it is "scientifically" proved. i say the earth is hollow inside and there is a giant blue rat inside running, causing the earth to rotate. laughing at me? ha ha. even they did that when they were told, the earth isnt flat .

When Centaur met his brother

One of my batchmates happened to model a sumo in maya during our 3d class. i was kicked by the idea. so i just tried these out to see what i'd be making if i were to make a sumo.

i had submitted this illustration for a publication that nid is doing regarding women and children. i still am not sure what exactly it is. but this one was made on the topic prostitution. it got selected initially, but.......erm.... later on got rejected.

Making atleast one animation every semester makes me feel good. last semester i made this promo for visual communication, promoting our colour Maroon, out of paper cut outs. the opposing teams were black, pink and purple.

sundays used to be boring in my second year. didnt have much work to do then. one such sunday, i saw one of my underwears lying on my bed and my roommates camera on the table next to it. and then......i decided to make it sing.

toothpste is cool

People say i have an obsession with gross stuff. i guess its true to an extent. this one was made using toothpaste and paper cut outs. and this was one of my first animations.

Did you know that an electric eel can vary the intensity of electricity it generates? it can generate electricity upto 5oo volts. I didnt know that.

Swimmies

They are fascinating........ these fish. recently nimisha has been brainwashing people into buying fish, after she bought her knifefish. well she tried it on me. and it worked. so we went to the fish shop together. and i dont regret it. i couldnt stop watching them. i had seen most them only in the pictures. the clown fish, albanian catfish, octopus, the dumb looiking smiley fish which sat lazily on rocks, the beautiful black fish with 2 white spots which looked like evil eyes, when it went behind the rocks, 30,000RS worth fish with silver lining on it which looked like chinese inscribed on it, and on and on............i came back and sketched them before i did anything else. didnt stick to the true colours though. but thats okay.

recently while running towards the institute for a class, i saw this guy sitting by our basketball court, painting stuff. it struck me immediately that its been ages since i touched paints. i ran into the students store, bought the last box of water colours, and i painted. i painted and painted and painted till i got fed up of it.

Psycho rabbit

the other morning when we woke up in the studio, none of us were in the mood, rather condition i would say, to animate for the claymation we are working on. so chewang began playing this Tibetan hymn. while we listened to it he began telling us stories of his place like about how people were superstitious back at his place and how his friend was recognised as a Rimboche and about the incredible shaolin monks etc.. etc... it was all rather interesting to hear and i couldnt stop myself from drawing this!
